The Law of the Charter The Nuremburg Charter 1945

"...the very essence of the Charter is that individuals have international duties which transcend the national obligations of obedience imposed by the individual State. He who violates the laws of war cannot obtain immunity while acting in pursuance of the authority of the State, if the State in authorising action moves outside its competence under international law."

List of 17 911truth action ideas

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
A Call To Action17 Action ideas for 911 truth (don't stop after the first 3)

1) Whistleblower bannering and leafleting as regards 9/11. I prefer ae911truth.org with fuller explanation OR patriotsquestion911.com standing alone. The content of the banner or leaflet would be a URL, or more detailed encouragement to well placed citizens to put saving the constitution before professional security. Targets of this would be federal civil servants and assemblages of significant professions and vocations as regards 911. These jobs include construction in all its levels, firefighting, airlines, security and police. That’s right. Go leaflet the police.

2) Whistleblower leafleting and bannering WITHOUT reference to 9/11 truth. Excellent statements warning of the coming police state have been issued by Dan Ellsburg, Naomi Wolf, Steve Lendman, Paul Craig Roberts, and Ray McGovern. This is something that can be done with mainstream peace activists. The focus would be federal civil servants and any security personnel who might be called in to work roundup. Everyone against roundup should work together!!

3) Assistance is needed for a specially designed website delineating both praiseworthy and suspicious activity of the FBI as regards the war on terror. I am not a researcher. I’m an organizer. Once we have a decent website, I have a catchy URL in mind, and I’ll go hold the banner at the Hoover Building . Contributions in research and funds to hire researchers should be sent to Dan Nalven PO Box 1132 , Ossining , NY 10562

Response to Robin Hordon/Defense of nonviolence/5 nonviolent actions

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
A Call To Action Response to Robin Hordon's attacks on nonviolence.
I first must complement Robin for having the courage to include me in his post. I’ve sought through Doug Brinkman to encourage Robin to debate me, and I feared he was actively avoiding me. I’m happy he is not.

Robin and I worked together a year ago leafleting for whistleblowers on a cold January afternoon outside the FAA in DC. Robin was given the opportunity to review the leaflet we distributed before we printed it up. He, of course, had a depth of experience in the airline realm. I assisted in preparing material he distributed in his own way at the convention of Air Traffic Controllers happening at that time.

I also have a general critique of the way nonviolent resistance is practiced in the US. In general, Gandhi's wisdom is ignored. I hold that the weakness of nonviolent protest in the US is because activists don't agree with Gandhi that they should not seek mercy. He always pleaded guilty.
I once met Narayan Desai, son of Gandhi's secretary, Mahadev Desai. He remarked that when his father went to jail, they would say goodbye by saying," Maybe next time you'll get a longer sentence."

It seems that Robin doesn’t agree with the UTNE article he links to. I do. The article says that there should be creative ways to achieve justice in addition to civil disobedience. Robin is categorically opposed to civil disobedience. He does not believe nonviolence can be anything other than phoney. This is not only misguided, but dangerous. Alongside the general resistance to discussion of nonviolence within the 911truth movement, his position is profoundly dangerous.

FREEWAY BLOGGING

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
A Call To ActionQuestions about freeway blogging arose in a recent conversation - legality, blah blah blah, after thinking for awhile, I imagined a pretty safe, effective way to "freeway blog."
One could simply fabricate a number of blank banners designed to be quickly "deployed," and then add graphics (paint, dye, whatever). Take a LARGE swath of fabric, like a sheet, hem in a 3/8 rod at top AND bottom, attach two chains with locking hooks to the top rod only. Works like this: design non-violent messages on banners, roll 'em up and hit freeway overpasses in high-traffic areas. It could be as quick as walking up, securing the banner by the hooks to fencing, and throwing the thing over the side (making sure the sign is not upside-down or backwards), move on. Even a half-hearted effort could reach hundreds of people before the sign gets removed... ?

CALL FOR MEDIATION

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
A Call To ActionBy Dave Slesinger - dslesinger@alum.mit.edu . Please post public responses here (911courage.org)

I have been removed from the 911truth.org grassroots contact list after having been an active truther since 2002, having given out over 55,000 deception dollars and having spoken on nonviolence at national 911 conferences in 2005, 06, and 07. The reason is that I'm seriously considering taking nonviolent sanctions against dc911truth.org, a group I co-founded, and against Webster Tarpley, a DC area resident. Before I take action, I will give the rest of the movement a chance to mediate.

I do this out of respect for the rest of the 9/11 truther movement, which could experience some problems as a result.

THEY LAY AT FINAL REST

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
A Call To Action

They lie in flag draped coffins
War's time for them, is done
But, for their family and friends
The battle has just barely begun.

Some may have had babies born
That they will never get to know
Some, fiancees wait to marry them
But fate, would not let it be so.

Some parents bury their children
Not right, in the scheme of things
Just one, of the many horrors
That mankind's warring brings.

They fought for their god and country
They proudly answered duty's call
Along with all their comrades in arms
But, sadly, these just gave their all.

The haunting sounds of Taps
And a three volley, gun salute
An Honor Guard in uniform
At attention, standing mute.

The flag will be folded reverently
Presented to those left behind
A small token from a grateful nation
But, relief from grief is hard to find.

Their name added to a roll of Heroes
With all those who have gone before
And there seems to be no ending
To all those to be sacrificed to war.

Ch. 1. Radical Priest Decries Damage to Spirit by Neocons on 9/11

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
General NewsFrom The Canadian National Newspaper, an exerpt by the Radical Priest, Chapter 1 of 13.

"........On September 11th 2001, any remaining vestiges of hope we had clutched onto were yanked from us by the maniacal fat cat cartel that has seized our globe in their lust to own and control everything that is not theirs; from the air we breath to the constitution that runs in our veins, from the thoughts in our minds to the words that we may or may not speak, from the truth we know and the privacy we value to the peace, freedom and righteousness that we stand for.

Those vile men who have stolen and sold our nation from within; the unscrupulous, treasonous politicians; the blasphemers who use the word GOD like it’s either a magic sword or a secret password, the rapers of Faith who suddenly become pious while passing a church on their way to a whorehouse, the unworthy and unholy members of groups like the KKK, PNAC, WTO or GOP, the traitors in our own ranks, our own governing body, the corporate deviant – the anti-christs within. “

The ways of peace and love have been stripped to the bone and ground up for cannon fodder. The ways of fairness and equality have been eaten by the greedy and defecated into huge mountains that block out the light.

Humankind has done the worst it could have done and despite all of our awareness and consciousness we have failed to intercede.

We are to be forgiven though, because a force of mans nature is at play here and I shall describe to you what it is.

.........."

Not Taking Sides (in NYC)

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
A Call To ActionIn a message dated 4/5/2007 12:32:58 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time,

rabbitholecentral@<snip> writes:

SnowFunMan Writes:

This message should not be construed as "Taking Sides", in the Great Division of the 9-11 Truth Movement, but rather, it is merely a statement about my position on this particular issue, to wit:

It is not clear to me, who is responsible for the portion of the message which appears at the top of this reply, however, that message is laced with nothing but generalizations, and high level abstractions.

It has been commonly held through the ages, that (1) fraud lurks in generalizations, and (2) he who deceives, speaks in general terms, and (3) he who defines and distinguishes well, teaches well.

Difficult projects of spirited people, always seem to mediocre minds, to be "Doomed to Failure", before they are accomplished, hence, "Historians always write about how impossible Revolution is,.....until it happens,......then they write about how inevitable it was."

I strongly disagree that it is a useless endeavor to reach the police with our messages of 9-11 Truth.

We who are involved in the 9-11 Truth Movement, have diligently attempted to combat the enormous resources of the U.S. Main Stream Media Disinformation Machine, and by extension, the Cognitive Dissonance Problem, by vigorously engaging the Public At Large, in discussion of the evidence in support of our position. I see nothing exceedingly more "Silly", or "Inept", about extending that discourse to police officers.

We Truth Warriors must not be so snobbish, and haughty, as to think, that we are so much more highly evolved than police officers, or that the police, once having accessed the information which we have, could never reach the conclusions that we have reached concerning 9-11.

The police are indoctrinated with the same set of prejudices, false ideas, distortions, and the very same linguistic and logical fallacies as the public at large, therefore, strategies must be developed, which will enable us to convey to the police, our messages of Truth.

Tom's mission is certainly courageous. It will surely require enormous energy, and the strenuous work of those few spirited, and dedicated individuals who participate. Most would lack the inner resources to take on such a project, choosing rather, to simply sit back and criticize.

Let us not forget, that the frame of mind of these police, may one day be the determining factor, in how severely peaceful demonstrators are attacked, and/or mistreated by the police.

Let us not forget, that the frame of mind of these police, may one day be the difference between our ability to sustain our existence, and our bodies falling face down, into the bottoms of mass graves.

Peace Ideas

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
General NewsA very thoughtful letter, apparently from a Russian reader with a truly humanitarian outlook and viewpoint. We would all be wise to try to embody at least some of his recommendations. Ed.

Nikolai
March 16, 2007

People would be more willing to adopt the views of 911 Truth activists if they felt they were calling for forgiveness rather than retribution and punishment.

The peace movement should call for granting amnesty from prosecution and guarantee of an ample, lifetime pension to anyone who agrees to testify on their roles in the events of 9/11, extending this offer to any members of the US government, foreign governments and/or terrorist groups involved in the planning or execution of the attacks of that day.

Additionally, individuals should step forward and volunteer to spend time working with those who give testimony on crimes they have committed so that they might be reintegrated into society.

Instead of executing Nazi war criminals we should have devoted all the human resources available to us to rehabilitating them, awakening in them awareness of the nature of their actions so that they could have come to understand that they must make amends. If they had remained alive they would have been a living testament to the transformative powers of forgiveness.

Historians and psychologists especially should come out in favor of preserving invaluable study material in the form of the opportunity to converse with the authors of unfortunate historical deeds.

We must find a solution to the existing state of affairs that would be acceptable to both the accusers and the accused. It should solve the problem it sets out to solve without creating additional problems. It should present itself as an ethical means to an ethical end.

ONLY SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION...

This idea does not depend on the media for its dissemination. If you can convince six friends of the merit of the idea and get them to tell six of their own friends tomorrow, each of whom tells six of their friends the next day, and so on, then the idea will reach every person in the world in two weeks (do the math), by word of mouth alone.

Why the left should not be hostile to 9/11 truth efforts

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
General NewsThe war on terror is being used to open the door to serious threats to our civil liberties. Exposition of any lies supporting such threats could be helpful to the protection of our Constitution.

If the current regime lies about so much, why shy away from asking the hardest questions about 9/11?

The lies which brought about the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution were a landmark lesson for American anti-imperialists. Why is Operation Northwoods unworthy of our concern?

It is said that the first casualty of war is the truth. If both major parties and the leaders of the antiwar movement have no interest in researching lies used to justify our current war, who deserves the most criticism?

Ultimately, we don't have to prove who did what. All we have to prove is that the government is lying. The fact that we still need the power of subpoena means we shouldn't be charged with the responsibility of already having answered all the hardest questions.

The burden of proof for "debunkers" is not the preponderance of the evidence. Their burden of proof is to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that a thorough investigation could disprove our case. This also means than if a debunker makes a good case about some aspect of our case, they still face the burden of making just as strong a case against ALL of our arguments. David Ray Griffin lists 115 different omissions and distortions of the Kean/Zelikow Commission. View it here. http://www.911truth.org/article.php?story=20050523112738404

Did you know that the US Military's timeline was changed twice, without explanation? Do think there should be a mulligan for citizens who salute?

Did you know the official theory assumes the FAA violated their own procedures 16 different times that day? Should we think twice before boarding an aircraft as a result?

Since the event of 9/11 is the most central event in the recent history of the US, it is not unreasonable that some people would speculate about the details of what happened. Since the US government has been proven to have a history of funding and directing disruptive agents, focusing criticism on our weakest arguments does not serve the search for understanding. (As I used to say the first time I thought my phone was tapped, "They must have money to burn.")

There are increasing numbers of 9/11 whistleblowers. The most recent, Robin Hordon, is a former air traffic controller. Are they fools for calling down the wrath of the state on them? How do their efforts differ from the efforts of Dan Ellsberg and others? Should Dan be criticized for helping 911 related whistleblowers like Sibel Edmonds?

My question for leftist debunkers in general is why can't they take Howard Zinn's position? To quote Howard in a letter to me, "while I am not devoting my time to this issue, I am glad other people are doing that. Surely there needs to be a division of labor and we can't all concentrate on every aspect of the horror represented by this administration. I surely agree we should ask all the hard questions barring none. And if there is solid evidence which, even if not conclusive, raises questions about the Bush Administration's relationship to 9-11, it should be exposed, and could become part of the arsenal calling for radical political change."

The institution on the left which monitors journalistic cowardice is Project Censored. Their recent media conference included a keynote speech by Prof. Steven Jones, the now former BYU Physics professor who makes the case for controlled demolition.

Even Chip Berlet and Matt Rothschild, respected leftist critics of 9/11 skepticism, agree there should be a real investigation. A shill for PNAC would never agree to that. Did you hear the Popular Mechanics guy on Charles Goyette's radio show actually argue there is no need to release ALL the photos of the Pentagon?

While most engineers and scientists have not condemned the official theory, it is hardly scientific to suggest we can be sure this can be explained by some reason other than the fact that most people will always be hesitant to risk their careers.

How are the entreaties to trust government experts when these experts are structural engineers defending the official theory of 9/11 any different from when the experts were war planners defending the Vietnam War?

If one could demonstrate that some other "conspiracy" is not accompanied by strong evidence, that in no way justifies using such a label to dismiss our hardest questions. The ability of someone to compare our efforts to the misguided efforts of others and use this as an excuse for personal attacks is itself misguided. Accusing us of various forms of religious nuttiness is a reference to unquestioning acceptance of unproven theory, which is the case I'm making here against our critics.

Most present day leftists carry the traditions of the New Left and its anti authoritarian tendencies rather than the Old Left with its residual Stalinism. Anti-imperialist activists of a certain age have been more than willing to attend large rallies in coalition with a good variety of more authoritarian activists. 911Truth activists are generating large numbers of anti-imperialist, anti-corporate activists. Why shouldn't these people be treated as brothers and sisters? Anti-authoritarian anti-imperialists wouldn't think of wasting their time publicly attacking the choice of focus of our Marxist-Leninist brothers and sisters. They certainly wouldn't make the primary criticism of these comrades that they are wasting time exposing insufficiently important ruling class or government lies.

While the 911truth movement is hardly free of sectarianism, the tendency of respected left commentators to attack ALL efforts to expose the lies about 9/11 is simply another form of left sectarianism. All ideological endeavor is plagued by sectarianism. Whenever those who analyze believe some differing analyst is too far afield, their need to draw lines until more analysis commonly comes forward. When it becomes hairsplitting is anyone's opinion.

If a longtime adversary accuses you of being a conspiracy theorist, should this always mean you'll stop some legitimate line of research?

The religious left is showing itself to be increasingly open to asking the hardest questions about 9/11 and the war on terror. An anthology including major progressive religious scholars is coming out edited by Kevin Barrett. David Ray Griffin has published a whole volume with religious focus. What do secular leftists have to say to Rabbi Michael Lerner or in response to comments by Rev. William Sloane Coffin?

At what point is it reasonable to insist that "left gatekeepers" individually respond to criticism they are sold out to ruling class foundation funds? Should anyone be considered beyond reproach?

911Courage.org Addresses Anthrax on C-Span

Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
A Call To ActionOn 11/29/06 I was the first person Tom Daschle called on at the Center for American Progress talk on C-Span with Daschle and Lee Hamilton on the topic of Homeland Security. Check C-span for streaming video.

I said I was disappointed the Kean Commission didn't deal with the anthrax issue. I noted that since Daschle and Sen. Leahy were the only elected officials to receive weaponized anthrax. No Republicans were hit. The anthrax hit Daschle and Leahy at the moment they were obstructing the first passage of the USA Patriot Act. This suggests the sponsors of The USA Patriot Act are a good place to investigate.

Both Daschle and Hamilton screwed up on their comment.

Hamilton had earlier claimed the most significant fact about the 9/11 issue is that we haven't been attacked since. I doubt the families and loved ones of the anthrax victims would agree.

Daschle actually said no one died from the anthrax. I spoke to him afterwards and he realized he screwed up. I said the postal workers would like to meet with him. He readily agreed.

Allow me to make one last note about the experience. Hamilton, who is hardly my favorite person, deserves some acknowledgement. He addressed the issue of civil liberties by contrasting the war on terror with the abridgement of civil liberties by Lincoln, Wilson, and FDR during war. At the end of the Civil War, WWI, and WWII civil liberties were restored, but none knows when the war on terror will end.

This reminded me of the last meeting of the Public Discourse Project (The follow up to the Kean Commission involving the members of the Kean Commission). At that time only Richard Ben Veniste spoke passionately that there will be another terrorist attack, and we cannot throw out civil liberties at that time.

The leaflet I distributed follows.
