We got there early only to realize we had left the leaflets behind. My support person, C.T. Butler, had to drive home to get them. I met him in the late 70's during a guerrilla theater action where I played Santa Claus. CT is the co founder of Food Not Bombs.
I had visited the theater manager and gave him a ‘Deception Dollar’, a DVD of Stephen Jones at UVSC and a Mugford DVD. He said the property manager would be the one to call the police. I called the property manager that morning just to make sure they knew that if they arrested me I'd be absolutely polite to everyone. I also called the police an hour before the action.
Attendant media included the Frederick News-Post (the county to the north), The Rockville Gazette, US News and World Report, Channel 9 TV News, BBC radio, and a friend present who called in a report to Pacifica. The Frederick News Post actually stayed the full 2 hours as we waited for the people to leave the first showing. US News and World Report stayed almost as long.
I focused on WTC building #7 saying that I would stand on that issue alone if necessary. I noted Stone shows footage of building 7 and that it was a black eye on American journalism that only NYC area residents and people who study the issue who know about building 7. The Channel 9 reporter bluffed me claiming the Kean Commission report mentions building 7, but I corrected him.
I expect to leaflet this theater Friday and Saturday. I urge anyone close enough to come leaflet there to get in touch with me. It's the Regal Rockville Stadium at 199 E Montgomery in Rockville, Md. I'm at 240-221-3293. I'm considering leafletting a different local theater to see if I can get every theater in the county, one by one, to let us declare that polite political leafletting is welcome at theaters throughout the county. Most of my support is outside the area, so anyone capable of helping would be greatly appreciated.
